Applications: Ground Vehicle Systems
Tactical ground vehicles and their onboard sensors rely on
accurate positioning and orientation data to enable effective and
enhanced situational awareness while on the battlefield.
Inertial systems with or without external aiding sources such as GPS
are an attractive solution due to their size, weight and power.
Moog Crossbow has a full range of affordable inertial products
specially optimized for ground vehicle applications. The
systems are designed to provide continuous position, heading and
attitude tracking information, enabling critical data for use with
vehicle navigation and control, blue force tracking, and gun shot
and sniper location systems.
Relevant products:
- GNAV540 – The
GNAV540 is an affordable military qualified INS/GPS specially
designed for ground system applications. The GNAV540
integrates MEMS inertial gyros and accelerometers, a SAASM or C/A
code GPS receiver, embedded or external magnetometers, and
Ethernet interface in a fully sealed enclosure.
- NAV440
– The NAV440 is a commercial version of the
GNAV540. The NAV440 does not support an external
magnetometer interface, and uses only L1 C/A code GPS aiding
sources.
