Crossbow's unique wireless networking solution, eKo Pro Series, integrates the latest wireless mesh technology to collect practical environmental data Air Temperature, Relative Humidity, Location (GPS), Ambient Light, Solar Radiation, Soil Moisture/Temperature and more.

Mesh sensor technology allows scalable range extension by node to node sensor communication. This technology has already been proven in numerous applications and is ideal for deployments where multiple sensor nodes are required.

The standard base station offers an RS232 port that can be easily interfaced to either a PC or a long range device such as a cellular link or sat link, or an 802.11 WiFi backbone

Development Kits

Starter Kits: Provide an easy and cost-effective way to get first-hand experience with wireless sensor networks. These entry-level kits provide all the basic components needed to create a prototype wireless sensor network.

Professional Kits: Support the creation of proof-of-concept systems. These kits provide users with the tools for commercial Mote development platforms. Designed for deeply embedded sensor networks, these kits enable the user to deploy and evaluate a wireless sensor network that meets their specific system requirements.

OEM Design Kits: Enable the development of customer specific wireless sensor devices for volume production. Pre-programmed, open reference design specifications, detailed hardware documentation and stamp-size modules allow for fast integration of wireless processor/radios into hardware designs.

 

Moteworks Software Platform

MoteWorks is the open, integrated, standards-based platform for the development of wireless sensor network OEM devices and systems. MoteWorks supports the development of wireless sensor devices that connect to industrial and IT enterprise networks. MoteWorks?provides choice by letting the developer select the best network topology, power profile and bandwidth for the application at hand. Specifically optimized for low-power battery-operated networks, all system components are enabled including sensor devices, server gateways and user interface.


Wireless Modules

Our portfolio of wireless modules supports the requirements of a broad range of indoor and outdoor applications and is designed for low-power wireless operation. Support for different radio frequencies, including 2.4 GHz, and 315/433/868/915 MHz provides different options for interference, bandwidth and range. Flash memory for over-the-air-programming and data-logging enable wireless sensors in industrial applications with low on-going maintenance costs.

 

Sensor Boards

Crossbow's sensor and data acquisition cards (MTS and MDA) mate directly to the wireless modules and provide direct sensing capabilities found in typical industrial applications, including temperature, pressure, and motion. Interfaces for external sensors support the integration of existing sensors into a wireless network. In combination with the wireless modules, the sensor boards provide an instant wireless sensor device for rapid prototyping and application development for industrial applications.

 

Gateways

The Stargate gateway and the Mote Interface Boards (MIB), connect the wireless sensor network to an industrial (e.g. ModBus), IP network or directly to a PC through variousinterfaces, including serial, USB, Ethernet and Wifi.
